Firing Service

As a hobby potter, beginner, or just a local artist, you don’t need to have your own kiln. You can always rent space in one from other potters.

I offer kiln service at Studio Rochelle.

You simply bring your pieces, I will fire them for you, and then you can pick them up.

Things you should know

You always need an appointment before dropping off your pieces. To arrange an appointment, please use the contact form, chat, or simply send me an email.
Your pieces must be clearly marked underneath so I can identify them.
To avoid cracks and explosions, sculptures must never be solid, but always hollow inside.
Make sure you’re using stoneware clay that can be fired at at least 1,200°C or higher.
You can also purchase stoneware clay from me.
The bottom of your pieces must be glaze-free so they don’t stick to the kiln shelf.

If the kiln shelves are damaged during firing due to the clay or glaze you used, I unfortunately have to charge a compensation fee of €25.
